Lake Huvsgul, the second largest
freshwater lake in the world after Lake Baikal
in Buryat, is popular for its pure water, awesome
Alpine-like landscapes, wonderful wildlife and
the different ethnic people living around it.
Lake Huvsgul region is a destination in itself
and an entire tour could be devoted to this
specific part of Mongolia. Going horseback riding
in this pristine region of Mongolia will take
you back to the previous centuries, where humans
were more like humans. This amazing horseback
adventure will take you to the depth of Mongolia
to the most beautiful part - Huvsgul region
and gives you the chance to meet the famous
Tsaatan Reindeer people.

1. |
Arrival
in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Meet at the airport/train station
and transfer to centrally located
hotel***. Visit the Gandan monastery,
Museum of National History and the
Genghis Monument on the Sukhbaatar
Square. |

2. |
Ulaanbaatar
– Moren, Huvsgul.
This morning we take the flight
to Moren, the center of Huvsgul
province. Arrive and drive to Erhel
Lake, put your tents at the most
beautiful spot at the Lake. Horse
riding practice around the lake.

3-4. |
Erhel
Lake – Huvsgul Lake Horse Treks.
30-40 km ride each day.
Early rising to enjoy your breakfast
over the inspiring sunset. Ride
on your horses and trek to the north
toward Blue Pearl – Lake Huvsgul.
We stop at nomadic families along
the way to witness their renowned
hospitality and see their lifestyle.
The view and wilderness will be
awesome all the way! Tent camping
under the starry skies.

Horse
riding and arriving in Lake Huvsgul.
35km ride
Final day of horse trekking, we
will cross the Jankhai pass and
arrive at our ger camp in the evening.
Transfer to ger camp, shower. Good
dinner and cold beer to cheer the
horse trekkers!

Rest
day in Lake Huvsgul, visiting the
Tsaatans.
A day of rest and relaxing in Lake
Huvsgul. We drive, ride or hike
to visit the Tsaatan Reindeer people,
meet and see their lifestyle. Optional
kayaking, boat ride, fishing or
hiking etc available. Meals and
overnight at the ger camp.

Lake
Huvsgul - Moren – Ulaanbaatar.
Breakfast. Drive back to Moren and
take the flight to Ulaanbaatar and
transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing:
Bogd Khan’s Palace Museum, Buddha
Park and Zaisan Memorial. Folk concert
and farewell dinner. Hotel.
